Void depth and service congestion
Shallow voids limit tile choice and lighting types. Congested cable trays or ductwork can force MF bulkheads or local packing. We measure, photograph, and note clashes rather than assuming a clean void.
Existing grid condition
Sometimes tiles can be replaced on a sound grid. Sometimes corrosion, deflection, or wrong module sizes mean a full strip-out. That call saves clients money when a full rebuild is unnecessary — and prevents false economy when the grid has failed.
Perimeters, abutments, and fire stopping
Wall junctions, glazed screens, and riser interfaces decide how neat the finished ceiling looks. Fire-rated walls need proper head details and documented stopping where required.
