LED panels and recessed downlights only look sharp when the suspended ceiling grid is set out around them — not the other way round. Poor coordination shows as uneven margins, cut tiles, and shadows on the finished plane.
Set out from the lighting plan
We prefer to work from a coordinated reflected ceiling plan. Where none exists, we set out a centreline strategy with the electrician before hanging main runners.
Panel weight and support
Larger LED panels need the right grid capacity and independent support where manufacturers require it. Ignoring that leads to deflection and tile lips after handover.
Access after completion
Maintenance teams still need to lift tiles around fittings. We leave workable margins and avoid trapping services so future lamp or driver changes do not wreck the ceiling.
Erimus Interiors regularly coordinates ceiling installs with electrical contractors on commercial schemes across the region. Learn more about our ceiling service.
